Replacing the headliner in a Ford Ranger is a straightforward task that will take some time. You should allocate a couple of hours for this job, but it's wise to set aside more time just in case things don't go smoothly. To start, you'll need to take off all the trim pieces surrounding the headliner, such as the door trim, pillar trim, and sun visors. Once these are removed, you can take out the entire headliner. Depending on the condition of the old material, you may or may not need to strip it off before putting on the new one. If it's in bad shape, it's best to remove it so the new material can adhere properly. After prepping the headliner piece, cut out the new material and apply a strong automotive spray adhesive. Attach the new material, trim any excess, and wait for the adhesive to dry before reinstalling the headliner.
