To replace the rear wiper blade on your Ford Explorer, you will likely need an 11-inch replacement blade, but for some model years, a 12-inch blade may be necessary. Some recommended options are the Valeo R12F, Bosch A281H, Trico #11-G, and Motorcraft WW-1106. To start, gently remove the plastic cover from the base of the arm and set it aside. Hold the wiper arm with one hand and push the old blade toward the glass with the other hand until you hear a slight pop. Align the center of the new blade with the C-shaped socket on the arm and push it in firmly until it clicks into place. Put the plastic cover back on and test to ensure proper functioning.

First, remove the black plastic cover from the bottom of the wiper arm and set it aside. Then, raise the rear wiper arm away from the window to access the old blade. Insert your fingers between the wiper arm and the old blade, pushing the old blade towards the window to release the mounting bracket. Align the new mounting bracket with the new wiper blade and attach it to the wiper arm until you hear it click into position. Finally, cover the base of the wiper arm with the plastic cap.
