To reset the airbag light in a Honda Civic, first, find the panel beside the steering wheel and take off the cover. Inside, there are several connectors attached to a small box. The yellow plug is the "memory erase protector." Remove the yellow plug from the receptor and insert both ends of a paper clip into it while the car is on. Take out the paper clip when the airbag light turns off, and reinsert it if the SRS warning appears. Do this process three times to reset the warning light. Finally, reconnect the yellow connection and close the panel.

Turn the ignition key to the "on" position (without starting the engine) to reset the airbag sensor light on a 2014 Honda Civic using this connection method. The airbag warning light comes on for two seconds before turning off. Once the light goes out, remove the shorting wire to disconnect and undo the cable short. The airbag warning light will then come back on.

The connector near the steering wheel is different. Paper clips cannot be inserted into this particular connector.
