To reset the oil light on a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander, first press the multi-information meter switch until the service reminder display shows up. Then, hold down the switch for at least 2 seconds to show the wrench icon flashing. Press the switch lightly while the icon is flashing to change the display to "CLEAR." After this, the time until the next inspection will be shown. Start the engine to confirm the reset. You can reset the display with the ignition off. Once reset, the time to the next inspection will show, and "PERIODIC INSPECTION" won't be displayed when turning the ignition on.
