To recalibrate the throttle body of a Ford F-150, park the car on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and shift into park. Turn off all accessories, start the engine, and let it warm up until it reaches operating temperature, allowing it to idle for at least one minute. Then, turn on the air conditioning and let it idle for an additional minute. While keeping your foot on the brake pedal and the AC on, release the parking brake and let it idle for one more minute. Next, release the brake, shift into drive, and drive the vehicle for at least 10 miles to recalibrate the throttle body. Many 2000 Ford models now have an electronic throttle body (ETB) controlled by the car's main computer. Performing this "relearn" process can help improve a rough idle and is typically necessary after a battery disconnect.

Here's a revised version: In order to activate the throttle position sensor on the F-150, you need to follow a specific series of actions, including turning the key both on and off while also pressing down on the gas pedal.

Certainly! There are two separate components involved. This process adjusts the throttle body. To perform the pedal relay calibration, repeat the action of slowly pressing down on the pedal and quickly releasing it three times with the key in the on position and engine off.
