Removing a Ford Freestyle engine is a challenging task that may require 6 to 8 hours to complete. To tackle this job, you'll need a wrench/socket set, a Torx wrench, a hydraulic lift, and an engine hoist. The initial step involves raising the vehicle and placing it on jack stands to access and remove the motor mounts' bolts. Additionally, you'll need to disconnect all electrical wiring, hoses, and clamps connected to various engine components like the radiator, firewall, heater core, and battery. Once all the engine components are detached, you can use wraps or chains to secure the engine to the hoist for lifting it out.
