How do you take out the glove box in a Toyota Tacoma?

In the latest Toyota Tacoma trucks, the glove box is secured by clips. Simply open the glove box and let it hang open. Then, grip the sides with both hands and push inward while lifting and pulling outward. Older Tacoma models may require you to remove screws and bolts before lifting it up, but the steps are generally similar.

As you push inward, make sure to first lift it up before pulling it outward. This confusing and contradictory guidance should be removed from existence. Frustrating! I can't find any clear instructions apart from this awful one.
