How do you unlock the hood of a BMW X6?

First, go to the driver's side of your BMW X6 to open the hood. If you're having trouble with the door, check other resources for help unlocking it. Once you're in the driver's seat, locate a lever under the steering wheel with a pictograph of an open hood. Pull this lever firmly towards you until you hear a clicking sound and see the hood pop up slightly. Move to the front of your X6 and find a release latch near the center of the hood. Use your finger to flick it open. To fully open the hood, utilize the small metal rod on the left side to prop it up and prevent any injury.

To access the hood of the BMW X6, you'll find the primary hood release on the driver's side kick panel. Pull it towards you to open the hood. Underneath the center of the hood, there is a secondary release that you can use to fully open it.
