The 2006 Dodge Stratus requires 8 quarts of coolant. To perform a coolant change on the car, begin by opening the hood and locating the radiator at the front of the engine compartment. Connected to the radiator is a clear or black plastic container, which serves as the coolant reservoir. This reservoir features a drain plug, a fill plug, and a dipstick for measuring coolant levels. If you only need to top up the coolant, check the level using the dipstick and add more as needed. If you are planning to flush the system, open the drain plug and let the coolant flow into a bucket. You can assist the process by pouring water into the container. Once the exiting water runs mostly clean, it's time to close the drain plug. Fill the container up to the recommended level indicated by the dipstick, then replace the cap securely.
