The 2006 Ford F-250 diesel fuel tank comes in either a 29-gallon or 38-gallon capacity, depending on the chosen options during construction. The larger tank was designed to provide the truck with extended driving range between refills. It's important to never mistakenly use regular gasoline in a diesel engine, as this can lead to severe damage to the fuel system and injectors, which can be expensive to repair or replace. Additionally, avoid using agricultural or red-handled diesel in your truck; always opt for green-handled diesel #2, as the other type is not suitable for on-road vehicles and can cause fuel system blockages.

Hey, I have a question about the fuel tank capacity of a 2006 Ford F250 diesel truck and the 6.0-liter Powerstroke diesel trucks. What is the size of the tank? Is it available in a 29-gallon or 38-gallon option?

The person providing this information is not correct. I own a 2006 Ford F250 with a 6.0 engine and my fuel tank holds 34 gallons. It's a short bed model. Although it's the lariat Amarillo edition, I don't believe there are any differences. Therefore, the figures of 38 and 29 are incorrect.
