The 2013 Ford Fusion 1.6 EcoBoost needs 4.3 quarts of engine oil. It is recommended to use Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend or Full Synthetic motor oil. Any synthetic or synthetic blend that meets Ford specification WSS-M2C945-A and has the API Certification can be used. Using oils that don't meet these specifications can hurt engine performance, raise emission levels, lower fuel efficiency, and make starting the engine take longer. The Fusion has an oil life monitoring system that tracks engine activity and other performance data to decide when an oil change is necessary. When the engine oil change light appears, make sure to get the oil serviced within the next 2 weeks or 500 miles.
