The 2017 Toyota Camry requires 4.6 quarts of engine oil with a new oil filter for the 2.5L 4Cylinder engine and 6.4 quarts for the 3.5 L V6 engine. Without changing the oil filter, the capacities are 4.2 quarts and 6.0 quarts respectively. It is recommended to use Toyota Genuine conventional or synthetic motor oil with a viscosity of SAE 0W-20 and an ILSAC GF-5 multigrade engine oil rating. If SAE 0W-20 is unavailable, SAE 5W-20 can be used temporarily, but it should be switched back at the next scheduled oil change. For conventional oil, change it every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, and for synthetic oil, change it every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.
