In 2006, the Ford F-350 requires 4.0 liters of 75w-90 synthetic oil for the rear differential. If you need to perform a differential oil change, prepare yourself for a task. Begin by accessing the rear axle of the vehicle, which may require you to raise it with a jack. Locate the axle and identify a large plate at the center. To simply add fluid, use the intake port, pour it in, and you're done. However, if you intend to change the oil, you must remove the plate. Be prepared for the oil to drain out when you do this, so have a container to catch it. Once drained, reattach the plate and refill the differential.
