Depending on Your criteria, the assembly time for a Chevrolet Silverado can vary. While General Motors reportedly dedicates between 20 to 30 hours in assembling the Silverado, it ultimately depends on the trim level and model year. However, what most people are concerned about is the time it takes for the Silverado to be delivered to Your dealership or doorstep. Factoring in customization wait times, it is typically estimated that most Chevy trucks will take approximately 10 to 14 weeks for delivery, based on the most up-to-date information available. This may result in a significant backlog of trucks, but the wait is worthwhile if You're customizing Your Silverado to reflect Your unique personality.

I put in an order for a 2021 Silverado 1500 RST Double cab with my dealer on February 13th, 2021. It's been 26 weeks already, and I still haven't received a confirmed build date. This extended wait has left me quite frustrated. I opted for some less common features like trailering mirrors and the multi-flex tailgate. Despite my efforts to stay updated by reaching out to Chevrolet regularly via their build and price message app, I keep receiving conflicting information each time.

I placed an order for my 2022 GMC 1500 Denali Limited in early September 2021. It began production on October 4, 2021, and I received it on October 28, 2021, here in Oklahoma. It took about 14 days from the start of the build process to delivery. In mid-September, I reached out to gm.com with delivery inquiries, and to my surprise, they promptly contacted me the same day. They informed me that my truck was set to start production on October 4, but they were unable to provide a specific delivery date at that time.

On average, it requires around 30 hours of labor to assemble a Chevy Silverado vehicle.

I put in an order for a shiny new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with a Pacific Metallic Blue finish on March 28th. They confirmed my order on April 13th and said the estimated production week is May 16th. However, I received an email on May 2nd saying that the truck is already in the works. I called to double-check and they said the production week is still May 16th. It's all a bit confusing, but I didn't expect to hear back so soon. I hope the email was accurate. Can't wait to see the new interior! If anyone has any guesses on what happens next, I'm all ears!

I requested a standard cab long bed 3500HD Work Truck on April 10th, but they had to submit it again in June for a 2022 model. On January 11th, I was informed that it would be produced in May. Waiting 13 months for it seems a bit too long in my view.

I bought a Sierra 3500 truck from Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Florida on October 16, 2021. The dealership let me know that it is scheduled to begin being built on February 22, 2022. However, they just informed me that I shouldn't expect to receive it until around 90 days after that.

I placed an order for a 2022 Silverado 3500HD diesel back in August 2021, but to my dismay, photos of the truck have been posted on the dealer's website since December 15! GM says the truck is in Flint, MI. This situation is truly aggravating!

I placed an order for a trail boss on May 3rd, but it wasn't put into production until July 27th. I'm unsure of when it will be ready for me to receive.

Consider purchasing a Ford vehicle. Back in August 2021, we placed an order for a regular cab 4WD F250, but we have yet to receive a build date. While Ford is now accepting orders for 2023 Government trucks, there's still no update on our order. Personally, I ordered a 3500GMC WT diesel dually for myself in October, and it's scheduled to be built on January 3rd. It's interesting how these things work out.

We are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of our GM pickup truck. We placed the order back in February of this year, but it's now October 4th and there's been no sign of it. It's a pretty standard truck, nothing fancy. We're starting to think about cancelling our order and switching over to a Ford instead.

My brand new Suburban High Country for 2022 was officially requested back in October 2021. I received confirmation that the ordering process had begun in January of that same year, yet here we are in May and I am still patiently waiting for it to arrive. The delay is becoming quite exasperating.

I'm sorry to say that there is a major delay with the shipment of HD trucks.

I placed an order for my Chevrolet 3500 DRW Duramax back in August, and since it already has a VIN, I know it's in the process of being built. I'm optimistic that I'll have it in my possession by June.

I placed an order for trail boss back in March 2021, and I've been informed that I won't receive the order until sometime after February 2022.
