The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander has a trunk and cargo space of 10.3 cubic feet, which expands to 61 to 63.3 cubic feet when including the seat area. The larger measurement accounts for the space when the seats are folded down, while the smaller measurement is with the seats in the upright position. There is a small opening in the vehicle's floor where you can lift up a panel. Beneath this panel is a compartment where the seats can be tucked away when folded down. To accomplish this, simply pull the lever on the side of the seats and lower them into the designated slots, securing them with a click sound. Reversing this process to raise the seats back up should only take a minute or two to complete.
