In the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, you can find the electronic parking brake lever located to the left of the driver's knee, behind the steering wheel on the dashboard. To activate it, simply pull the lever towards you. You will know it's engaged when you hear the emergency brake engaging upon release. The lever has a "P" marking and a message that says "pull up". Once activated, a red light on the lever will illuminate and a red "brake" message will appear on the speedometer in the Ram's instrument panel. To deactivate the parking brake, press the brake pedal in the footwell while simultaneously pushing the PB button on the dashboard. The lights on the speedometer and the button will turn off.

I recently discovered that the car won't shift into reverse if the door is open, which I find frustrating because I prefer to open my door and check the sides while reversing, especially when I already know my surroundings.
