To change the heater core in a 2008 Ford F-250, you will need a jack, jack stands, a socket set, wrenches, pliers, a drain pan, and rags. Lift the vehicle with the jack and drain the coolant. You can reuse the coolant if it's new, but it's likely you'll need to replace it. Locate the heater core, secured by four bolts that are easily removable. Lift the core slightly and detach the wires holding it in place. Once the wires are removed, pull out the old core and insert the new one.
