To kickstart a Kia Optima Hybrid, you should follow the same steps as you would for any car. Locate the 12-volt battery in the trunk, which is behind the panel on the passenger side. First, attach the positive cable to the positive terminal in your Optima. Then, connect the positive cable to the positive terminal of the functioning battery. Next, connect the negative cable to the negative post in your Optima, and attach the other end to the negative terminal of the good battery. Once everything is connected, start the functioning vehicle and let it run for a few minutes to charge the battery. Finally, try turning on the Optima.
