If you're having trouble with your car radio, the issue is likely a faulty wire leading to the radio or a blown fuse. Locate the fuse box next to the steering wheel, which can be opened by finding a seam or crack on the dash and using a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside the fuse box, you'll see several fuses. Refer to the diagram on the back of the panel to identify the specific fuse for the radio. If the diagram is not there, you can also check the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you determine the correct fuse, remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is unbroken, the fuse is still working and can be reinstalled. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically around $10.
