To reset the security system in a 2007 Chevy Cobalt, here are the steps: Firstly, turn the key in the ignition to the "on" position without starting the car. Then, turn the ignition off and wait for 5 seconds. Repeat this process 3 times within a 30-minute period using the transponder key to re-calibrate the system. Another way to disable the alarm is by inserting the key into the driver's door to unlock and reset the immobilizer. You could also try holding down the panic button for 5 seconds and then pressing the lock button twice. Step away from the car about ten feet and wait for ten minutes before pressing the unlock button on the key fob twice. This might reset the anti-theft alarm.

To reinitialize the security system on your 2007 Chevy Cobalt, insert the key, turn it to start, and keep it in the on position for 10 minutes until the light starts flashing. Then, turn the key back to off, and turn it again to start the vehicle.

If you insert a different key, will it function correctly?

I own a 2007 Cobalt with manual locks and no key fob. It's currently stuck in anti-theft mode. What should I do to get it to start?
