To deactivate the anti-theft system in a Toyota Camry, you can use a programmed key chip that connects to the car's immobilizer. To turn off the alarm and reset the security, you can press the panic or unlock button on the remote. Another way is to insert the key into the driver's door to unlock and reset the system. Try holding the panic button for 5 seconds and then pressing the lock button twice. Step back ten feet from the car and wait for ten minutes before pressing the unlock button on the remote twice. This may reset the anti-theft alert. As a final option, you can disconnect the battery cables for 10-15 minutes to recalibrate the ECU, then reconnect them to clear the security warning.

To stop the car alarm, try unlocking or locking your doors using your key fob. If the alarm persists even after trying this, it may be necessary to reprogram or replace your key fob because the transmitter could be defective.
