If your Acura ILX is displaying a "Check Brake System" alert that won't go away, it may indicate a low brake fluid issue. Use Genuine Honda Brake Fluid, either DOT 3 or DOT 4, and check the level against the markings on the reservoir. If the light persists after refilling, the fluid level sensor in the brake master cylinder might be stuck. This sensor can be found in the master cylinder, which could potentially require replacement. The cost for parts ranges from $40 to $70, while labor costs between $210 to $180. In some instances, the warning light may stay on despite no actual problems. To address this, you'll need to reset the light using an OBD scan tool. Locate the port for the tool under the dashboard on the driver's side, then turn on the ignition without starting the engine to read the code. Finally, press the delete button on the scan tool to clear the warning.

If your Acura ILX is having trouble starting and the brake system light is on, you'll have to utilize an OBD II scan tool to erase the brake system code.

I'll paraphrase the text "TLXAcura" to say "Acura TLX".
