There are multiple reasons why a car's USB port might stop working. For the Chrysler Pacifica, it should be relatively easy to diagnose, but you need to be clear on what you mean by "failure". The first step is to check if the problem lies with your device or the cable. Often, replacing the cable is a simple and inexpensive solution, as many times people mistakenly panic about a malfunctioning USB port when the issue is with the cable. If it's not the cable, the problem could be due to a data transmission error or a power problem, usually caused by a wiring or hardware issue. In such cases, it's usually most cost-effective to replace the entire port with a new one.

Typically, troubles with the USB ports in the Chrysler Pacifica arise from a blown fuse or connections that are not secure.

The fix that worked for my 2020 Chrysler Voyager minivan involved addressing a sudden issue with the USB port located beside the AUX port on the dashboard. The USB port had stopped working, leading to no charging of the phone or connection to Android Auto, although the AUX port was functioning normally. I suspected that the problem may have been caused by unplugging the USB connector while Android Auto was still active. To address this, I took the following steps: first, I switched off the van and then opened the hood. Next, I removed fuses 28 and 76 from the fuse box located on the driver side near the joint of the hood and body. With the hood open and the fuse box cover outside of the engine area, I started the van and turned it off after a minute. Although this step was not suggested by anyone, I decided to do it to ensure that UConnect remained off while the van was running. I then tested both fuses with a multimeter to ensure that they were not blown. After switching off the van, I reinserted both fuses (#28 and 76), closed the fuse box cover, and shut the hood. Following this, I removed the USB cable from the dashboard port, started the van, and inserted the small end of the USB cable (connector C) into the phone while the phone was awake. I then connected the larger end of the USB cable to the USB port on the dashboard, which automatically launched Android Auto after the cable was inserted.
