The issue with the memory seat in the Jeep Grand Cherokee not functioning is likely caused by a faulty fuse box. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to carefully open it. Inside, you will find multiple fuses. The back of the panel you removed should have a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram isn't there, check the owner's manual for the vehicle. Identify the fuse that needs replacing by looking for a thin metal strip connecting the two sections that stick up. If the metal strip is broken, the fuse is bad and should be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still functional and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are affordable, costing around $10.

It's highly probable that the track or seat is obstructed, leading to uncalibrated controllers causing resistance, as opposed to Sherry's explanation. I've experienced this issue multiple times, and I grew weary of shelling out $100 each time to have it fixed by the dealer (the first instance was due to a chopstick blocking the path). The solution is quite straightforward: Step out of the Jeep, adjust the seat all the way back, then forward, and then back again. This should recalibrate the limits.

for my 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited, do this: Without stepping on the brake, hit the Start button until it shows Run. Set up your seat, mirrors, and other preferences. Next, push the center button on the Memory pad located on the driver's door for a brief moment, followed by pressing 1 for a second. If you moved your seat slightly forward, when you press the brake and start the car, the seat will adjust. When you turn off the car, the seat will automatically move back to make it easier for you to get out.

Brian Baumgartner's tip from November 25, 2020 was a lifesaver for my 2019 JGC. By moving the seat forward and back twice, I was able to recalibrate the seats quickly and easily. This fixed the issues with stored profiles and the Easy Exit setting. Thanks for the helpful advice - it saved me a trip to the shop that would have taken two hours!

For months I've been struggling with getting the memory seat in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to function properly. After reading through various solutions, bringing my car to the dealership, and attempting to replace the fuse, the only method that actually worked for me was pushing the seat all the way forward and then all the way backward with the car running. Surprisingly, this resolved the issue immediately. I am grateful for all the suggestions provided.

Adjust your seat to the furthest forward and backward positions. Press either button S1 or S2 to reset it. Next, fine-tune the seat to your liking and press S1 or S2 again. Repeat this process for each setting. This method fixed my seat when it unexpectedly reclined all the way back but maintained the other settings.

The reason why the power seat doesn't work on the Jeep Grand Cherokee is either due to a malfunctioning motor or issues with the power supply wires.
