The issue with the Acura MDX's tailgate button not functioning is likely caused by a faulty wire in the gate or a blown fuse. To access the fuse box located beneath the car's hood, you'll need to raise the hood and secure it in place. On the right side of the engine compartment, there will be a black box with a visible seam. Opening this box will reveal the fuse inside. The back of the box lid typically displays a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not there, you can refer to the car's owner's manual. Once you have identified the necessary fuse, carefully remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse is defective and needs replacement. If the metal strip is unbroken, reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses are affordable, costing around $10.

If the tailgate button on your Acura MDX isn't functioning correctly, you can try fixing it by going into your vehicle's settings and finding the option for "Power Tailgate Keyless Open Mode" to reset it.

I can use my key fob or the driver's side door button to open the tailgate of my 2013 Acura MDX, but I'm having trouble closing it afterwards. None of the usual methods, such as using the key fob, the tailgate button, or the door button, seem to work for closing it. What could be causing this issue? Thank you for your help.
