In the Cherokee lineup, among the vehicles, only the Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a special feature of having two batteries. One battery is dedicated to powering the main motor, while the other serves as an auxiliary for the stop-start function of the Grand Cherokee. These batteries are located beneath the front passenger seat. To access them, you can use the power buttons on the right side of the seat to adjust it forward and upward. Underneath the floor panel flap, you will find the auxiliary battery positioned next to and above the primary power source of the Jeep. When replacing the batteries, be sure to utilize a 10mm and 13mm socket and start by disconnecting the negative cables first. The cost for replacing the auxiliary battery ranges from $100 to $200 for both parts and labor, while the main battery of the Cherokee typically costs between $270 and $280.

Please stop mixing up the "Cherokee" and the "Grand Cherokee" for goodness' sakes! The Cherokee has one battery, while the Grand Cherokee has two, for goodness' sakes! It seems even GOOGLE struggles to distinguish between them. The Grand Cherokee has two batteries located under the back of the front passenger seat, while the Cherokee has one situated on the driver's side under the hood. It's clear they're two distinct vehicles!

The husband's wife owns a 2015 Cherokee with a V6 engine. The dealer mentioned that it has two batteries. They are looking for a video showing where the battery is located, as the dealer mentioned it costs between $250 and $300 for the battery and an additional $50 if they want to install it themselves. The dealer also mentioned that it's a 4-wheeler battery and is located under the passenger rear seat. They are wondering if this information is accurate as they couldn't find a video of it on YouTube.

here's a rephrased version with a unique spin: I brought my 2015 Jeep Cherokee to the dealership because the start/stop feature wasn't functioning. They mentioned that there's an additional battery specifically for that, and quoted me a cost of $300 for the replacement.
