Underneath the floor panel flap, you will find the auxiliary battery positioned next to and above the primary power source of the Jeep. When replacing the batteries, be sure to utilize a 10mm and 13mm socket and start by disconnecting the negative cables first. The cost for replacing the auxiliary battery ranges from $100 to $200 for both parts and labor, while the main battery of the Cherokee typically costs between $270 and $280.

It seems even GOOGLE struggles to distinguish between them. The Grand Cherokee has two batteries located under the back of the front passenger seat, while the Cherokee has one situated on the driver's side under the hood. It's clear they're two distinct vehicles!
