I suggest using premium fuel. I have a vehicle that specifically states in the fuel door and owner's manual that it needs premium 91 octane fuel.

The suggested fuel grade for the Tiguan model from that year is 91 RON, not 91 Octane. In the United States, we use Octane as a measurement unit, while the rest of the world uses RON.
