If you dislike this feature, like many people do, you have the option to deactivate it by removing the fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack on the left side of the dashboard near the steering wheel, and carefully open it using a screwdriver or prybar. Inside the fuse box, you will find multiple fuses. Consult the diagram on the back of the opened panel or refer to the owner's manual to identify the fuse responsible for the start-stop system. Once you have located the correct fuse, simply pull it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections on top of the fuse is intact; if it is broken, the fuse needs replacement. A new fuse typically costs around $10, making it an affordable solution.
