The GMC Acadia features front-wheel drive. It is recommended to replace the power steering fluid every 75,000 miles. In addition to maintaining fluids, pay attention to any unusual noises coming from the steering components. A defective bearing can produce a bothersome sound, while a loose bearing can be irritating to the ear. Proper steering function is crucial for safe lane-changing and navigation on the road. Though issues may arise over time, such as veering to one side, a stuck steering wheel, or steering fluid leakage. A loose steering pump could spell disaster for your vehicle. Keep an eye out for signs of deteriorating strut bearings or a faulty rack mount.

The 2018 GMC Acadia isn't equipped with 4WD. The entry-level SL model comes only with front-wheel drive. However, the other 5 trims - SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1, SLT-2, and Denali - are available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD) when you make a purchase.
