In the 2005 Toyota Tundra, you can find the cabin air filter behind the glove compartment. It will only cost you between $10 and $20 to replace it. To get to the filter, start by unhooking the dampener arm on the glove box. Then, push in on both sides to release the box and pull it down and out. Unclip the filter housing to remove the cover. Take out the old filter and clean out any debris. Put the new filter in and replace the cover. Put the glove box back in, making sure to reattach the dampener arm before closing it.

I own a 2005 XSP, and it doesn't seem to have an air filter behind the air conditioning tube that runs across to the side. I removed it and found only components and wires back there, so I'm not sure where the cabin air filter is located in the 2005 models. There must be some kind of blockage somewhere, or else dust would enter the cabin. I have searched everywhere under the dashboard but still can't locate it.

Mine also lacks a filter. It only has a tube, which appears to be responsible for directing air to the vents. There is a sticker on the tube indicating it was installed or inspected in February 2005, leading me to believe that my vehicle is likely the first generation of the 2005 Tundra model.
