The majority of 2009 Chevy Traverse vehicles were equipped with a cabin air filter, although some did not have one. To confirm whether your vehicle has a cabin air filter, you will have to check for yourself. To do this, you will need to lower the glove box and take off the cover attached behind it. If your model lacks a filter, the panel will be fixed in place; however, if it has a filter, you should be able to remove the panel to access the filter. If your Traverse is one of the models that originally included a filter, you will have to purchase a replacement, readily available at auto parts stores or online retailers. After obtaining the replacement filter, simply remove the old one and insert the new one, ensuring it is oriented correctly as indicated by the arrows on the sides of the filter.

The standard equipment on the 2009 Chevrolet Traverse does not include a cabin air filter. If desired, a cabin air filter can be purchased separately and installed by either Chevrolet or a third-party provider.
