I can verify the previous response. I removed the glove box and the duct cover, but there is no cabin air filter to be found. Interestingly, all the auto parts stores are eager to sell a non-existent filter for this vehicle.

The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado is not equipped with a cabin air filter, as this feature was not offered for Silverado trucks since 2003.

It's a tough task, but you can modify it by adding a filter that you can get from Napa. Just be sure the kit includes the updated cover plate. Chevy, there's no superior option!

Thank you for your help. I was fairly certain that the videos I watched on YouTube claiming to be for a 2010 Silverado were incorrect. It's frustrating when so-called "experts" give out misleading advice. 😊

The 2010 Silverado does not come with a cabin filter, but you can purchase a retrofit cabin filter kit from Napa if you wish to add one. The kit includes all the necessary parts for installation, so be sure to check that it includes instructions and the required bottom piece for installation after cutting the heater box.

Chevy Silverados made from 1999 to 2002 come with cabin air filters, but those produced from 2003 to 2010 do not. These trucks share key parts, like the air filter, with other GM trucks and SUVs such as the Sierra, Tahoe, and Suburban.
