In 2011, Ford F-150 trucks do not have a built-in cabin air filter like the manufacturer claims. Even though it's not essential, having an air filter in your vehicle helps get rid of harmful particles such as pollen and dust from the air inside the truck. Usually located behind the glove box, the filter cleans the air passing through the HVAC system. While the 2011 models don't have a cabin air filter, newer models from 2013 onwards come equipped with this feature. If you want to install one in your truck, you can purchase an aftermarket parts kit for around $75 to $100, depending on the brand and quality.
