Yes, the 2011 Ford Focus comes equipped with a cabin air filter that you should replace during your routine maintenance. Unlike many vehicles where the filter is located behind the glove box, in the Focus, you'll find the filter closer to the floor on the passenger side, near where your left foot rests. To access it, you'll need to remove the panel by taking off the two plastic caps. Once the panel is removed, you'll see a small compartment secured by a cover with a few screws. Unscrew these, and you'll be able to locate the cabin air filter, which can be easily removed and replaced with a new one.

I've searched high and low, but it seems to have eluded me everywhere I've looked.

I too own a 2011 Ford Focus and there is no cabin filter in sight! Our Focus doesn't have that panel or the two plastic tabs anywhere. Some have suggested checking under the cowl vent on the passenger side, but we couldn't find it there either. All we saw was a screen that was sealed to the body, and there was definitely no filter to be found anywhere.

I don't have one like that... at least not in that spot. There is no lid to remove, no light below, and no visible fuses as shown in the videos. What's going on?

I own a 2011 Focus SEL, and to my surprise, it does not come equipped with a cabin air filter despite my efforts to locate one. I've scoured dozens of videos and checked every possible spot where a filter is supposed to be, but it's nowhere to be found!

In my 2011 Ford Focus SES, the designated spot for the filter is empty, but I think it might be situated beneath the black plastic cover on the passenger side. I think it's also known as the cabin air filter.

The manual states "if equipped" when discussing the maintenance of the cabin air filter, indicating that not all vehicles come with this feature. In my case, my vehicle does not have a cabin air filter.
