In the 2013 GMC Sierra series, there's a cabin air filter you should know about. It's situated on the passenger side inside the car, beneath the glove box. This nifty little filter does a solid job of getting rid of nasty pollutants like pollen and dust in the air you're breathing while driving. If this filter gets all clogged up, your A/C system might not work as well and you could end up with weak airflow from your vents. I'm not completely certain, but I believe the 2013 Sierra 1500 I own doesn't have a cabin air filter located under the passenger side dash. I've removed both glove boxes and the bottom plastic cover, but there doesn't seem to be a cabin filter in there or under the cowl by the windshield wiper. I read online that they stopped including cabin air filters in this model back in the early 2000s, which is intriguing because there are many YouTube videos showing how to replace them in these trucks. I plan to contact the dealer tomorrow for more information, so stay tuned for updates.

What's the point of sharing completely inaccurate information? To clarify, a 1500 Sierra extended cab truck does not come with a cabin filter. To install one, you would require a retrofit kit that costs around $70-80.

I own a 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD and I can guarantee that it absolutely does not come with a filter.

There is a designated location for it to be installed, using an additional component, although it is not part of the regular setup. A section needs to be cut out beneath the passenger-side dashboard.

Nope, my 2013 GMC 3500HD doesn't have a cabin filter that's accessible. The A/C isn't consistently blowing cold air. The first thing the searches suggest is to clean the cabin filter, but how are you supposed to do that if there isn't one! It seems like every time we hit a bump, the A/C is inconsistent. I pulled the console out to check the wires around the radio and climate control, and it continues to blow cold air. What's going on? 🤔

In 2013, a number of individuals informed me that the GMC Sierra 1500 SLE had a cabin air filter. I removed the glove box as suggested, but found nothing inside. Additionally, I checked the vent cover located beneath the glove box.
