You're disregarding the older crowd who enjoy a touch of nostalgia and have the spending power. Eliminating CD players is a blunder, as you're losing out on potential sales to a different generation. Decades ago, Ford promised that their vehicles would meet all your needs. It seems they assumed that everyone would have a cell phone that could start their cars for them, but not me.
