The 2018 Hyundai Tucson does not have a built-in CD player as standard since many vehicles from 2017 onwards rely on bluetooth for music streaming. However, there is a USB port in the car where you can connect a CD player if you prefer. The cost to install a CD player typically ranges between $80 and $304. Opting for bluetooth requires syncing your device with the infotainment system for hands-free music, calls, texts, and videos without added distractions.
Instead of lacking a CD player in the new Hyundai Tucson, there is an option available to substitute the CD player.
Hyundai, along with many other car makers, is phasing out CD players from their infotainment systems. The 2019 Hyundai Tucson is following this trend, as it does not offer a CD player as part of its infotainment system.
A budget-friendly portable CD player connected to the car's auxiliary input using the 12-volt socket can work. Alternatively, you can load a bunch of songs onto a USB flash drive and play music from there.
I'm not a fan of how newer cars distinguish between USB-C and USB specifications because the cable length should be limited to 16 inches. To make it easier to understand which USB drive is for music, a college paper I wrote in 1989 titled "what's Next, MUSIC on a chip?" seems to suggest that SDHC cards are too small to store music, so it might be better to have SSD readers that are under 12 inches.
I can't listen to music right now because I don't have anything to connect it with. Thanks anyway!
The 2019 Hyundai Tucson does not come equipped with a CD player and cannot be upgraded to include one.
