The 2012 Toyota Camry comes with a SRX speed automatic transmission instead of a continuously variable transmission. On the other hand, the 2012 Hybrid model does have a CVT. It's important to regularly change your transmission fluid, ideally every 30,000 miles, to prevent transmission slip. If you neglect this maintenance, you may start experiencing transmission issues. The cost of a fluid change is around $150 or possibly even less. Toyota suggests using Toyota Genuine ATS WF, as using other products could lead to shift quality problems, transmission seizing, vibration, and potential damage to the transmission system.
