Is there a push button start feature on the Chevy Equinox?

The Chevy Equinox is equipped with a remote start button instead of a traditional start switch. While the push button start feature is not available as the key is still needed to start the ignition, the remote start function allows you to start the vehicle from outside the SUV using the key fob. To activate the remote start, simply press the lock button on the key fob and then press and hold the remote start button for at least two seconds until the signal lights flash. The flashing turn signal lights indicate that the signal to start the engine remotely has been successfully sent. While the engine is running, the parking lights will illuminate and the car doors will remain locked. Before driving, you must insert the key and turn it to the ON/RUN position. If the engine is not set to ON/RUN or a time extension is not completed, the engine will automatically shut off after 10 minutes.
