As of now, there are no ongoing recalls for the Ford F-150 moonroof. There have been reported issues with some moonroofs leaking or malfunctioning, but Ford has not initiated any recalls. They are currently addressing these problems on a individual basis to determine necessary repairs or replacements. Typically, manufacturers issue recalls when there is a widespread pattern of component failures, which has not been the case with the Ford moonroofs. Recalls are also common when a problem poses a safety risk, but the moonroof issues with Ford vehicles have not reached that level.

I'm baffled by how a $1800 feature for my 2016 car's moonroof is costing $3400 to fix because it won't close properly, causing leaks. Ford is going to replace the entire rail system. It's absolutely ridiculous!

I am dissatisfied with your response about the Sunroof issue. I've only used mine about six times, and it leaks a significant amount of water. My family and I have been loyal Ford customers for a long time. Perhaps I should consider switching to GMC or Chevy.

This issue is common in all F150 trucks that have a panoramic sunroof. The track rail system, which is made of plastic, appears to be poorly designed, especially given the size of the glass sunroof. I had to get mine replaced by Ford, and it ended up costing me $1800 for the parts and $180 per hour for labor, amounting to a total repair cost of $4000. It's totally unfair. A recall should be initiated to address this problem.

I own a 2017 F-150 with a moonroof that isn't working. I had to use duct tape to seal it for now. Ford wants $175 just to find out what's wrong, which seems ridiculous since this is likely a known issue that should be fixed for free.

Although there have been numerous complaints about the moonroof malfunctioning in Ford F-150s, there is currently no recall specific to this problem.

In 2015, my car has only 36,000 miles on it and spends most of its time parked in the garage. When I tried to open the sunroof, I heard a snapping sound from the side rail. Now it won't work at all, and I won't be purchasing any more Ford products.

I swapped out my 2017 F-150 Platinum with a moonroof, and out of nowhere the general manager claimed it had a $6000 issue. This unexpected news greatly affected the trade-in value of my vehicle, and I believe the manager should be let go by the owner for causing such a problem.

Yep, I had to get mine replaced too. They should issue a recall for it.

My sunroof won't shut properly after being opened for ventilation. A recall should be issued for this issue.

In 2016, I purchased an F150 Lariat Supercrew truck, and the tonneau cover had only been opened around 20 to 30 times before the cheap plastic rails cracked, leading to a cracked glass. The repair cost was $4700, but Ford agreed to cover 60% of the expenses, leaving me with over $1900 to pay out of pocket.

My F150's moonroof is leaking and won't open, Ford should rectify this issue for its customers.

Why isn't there a way to recall sunroofs? It's absurd!

The sunroof was completely rebuilt but is still leaking. I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who thinks Ford should address this issue and issue some recalls. I am completely unimpressed with their handling of the situation!

I own a 2015 Platinum that had to be fixed twice under warranty. Just 3 months after the second repair, the same issue came back. I was also informed that there is no recall for the problem, even though the plastic components haven't been recalled and the moonroof's design hasn't been deemed faulty. It's frustrating and unacceptable!

I purchased a 2017 F-150 with a moonroof from the dealership, and they were supposed to fix it once they received the part. When I tried to open it for the first time, I heard a strange twisting sound, and I can't believe it didn't open even once before it broke again!

I have a similar issue with the moonroof on my 2018 F150 truck. I'm thinking about getting rid of my truck. I won't purchase a Ford again after spending so much money on a King Ranch truck.

My 2019 Platinum card isn't working properly. I was able to deactivate it and I won't be using it again!

Our car also has a leak and now we have to deal with the unpleasant musty odor. Come on, Ford, step it up!

I own a 2016 Lariat that I bought used from a dealership. I also purchased an extended warranty for $2000 from Ford. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of a moonroof leak until it rained, and water started pouring in. It turns out that I need new rubber gaskets, which means a new window, and to my disappointment, the Ford warranty doesn't cover this issue. I am frustrated and dissatisfied with this situation. I'm not sure where to turn next within Ford to address this problem. I hope Ford will do right by their customers and help me with this costly repair that I cannot afford at the moment.

I dealt with the same issue with both of my panoramic roofs – they wouldn't close properly and the tracks broke in both cases. There wasn't a recall for this problem, and they tried to charge me $3500 to repair it. It's ridiculous.

I own a 2021 F150 with a moonroof, and it's leaking from the speaker hole and other areas. This bad experience has convinced me that I won't be purchasing a Ford again.
