The 2010 Ford Fusion stands out as it hasn't been affected by any rack and pinion recalls unlike other similar Ford models with electric power steering problems. However, there have been some customer grievances about the steering system in general, although not specifically related to the rack and pinion. One noticeable sign of steering troubles in the '10 Fusion is the power steering assist light lighting up on the dashboard. If this happens, it's advisable to stop the car at the earliest safe opportunity as the steering system may be about to malfunction. Ford has not addressed this issue publicly.

Not yet, I have a 2010 vehicle with 160,000 miles on it. I recently removed the rack and pinion and plan to install a new one soon.

The steering parts of Ford Fusion cars are being recalled due to a potential issue with the electrical connection that can cause the power steering to stop working intermittently. This problem could make it difficult to steer the vehicle and may lead to accidents.

I drive a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with a 2.5-liter engine. Recently, I experienced a loss of power steering in my car, with the message "service power steering now" appearing, along with a notification about the Advance Trac system. I'm wondering if there's a recall for this car model. I'd appreciate it if you could provide a solution. Thank you.

Is it possible for us to take legal action against them? My daughter's 2010 Ford Fusion broke down while she was driving with her children. Unfortunately, she does not have the funds to repair it.

I've got a Mercury Milan from late 2010 made in November. Inside the glovebox, there's a 2011 owner's manual. I'm experiencing issues with the power steering and getting warnings for POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE and ADVANCETRAC. The power steering is completely out, and although this has happened before and was fixed by restarting the car, it's now stuck like this. Any advice on how to fix it?
