The 2011 Ford Fiesta, along with all models from 2011 to 2013, is currently under recall. These specific vehicles were produced between November 3, 2009, and September 21, 2012, due to not meeting the required standards of the Federal Motor Safety Standard. Though there have been reported issues with these models, there are no recalls mentioning transmission repairs. Ford does offer an extended warranty for their transmission, providing repairs for the clutch for up to seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Additionally, it covers the transmission control computer for up to 150,000 miles or 10 years.

There was a lawsuit filed by owners of Ford Fiesta from 2011 to 2016 and Focus from 2012 to 2016 that had dual-clutch automatic transmissions. They took legal action against Ford to seek refunds because the car manufacturer was aware of the transmission issues but continued to produce and sell the vehicles.

Our vehicle suddenly lost power and revved up to 4000 rpm before I could turn it off, almost causing me to crash while driving 65 mph on a dark road. Will Ford take responsibility for fixing this issue, or will they just avoid it?

It's likely that a recall won't happen until there's a tragedy involving loss of life.

My 2011 Ford Fiesta Ztech is producing loud revving sounds. I'm wondering if Ford can address this issue at no cost, or if I'll have to cover the repair expenses myself. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated since this is my sole vehicle, and I can't afford a replacement. Thank you.
