In 2018, all trims and models of the Nissan Murano are equipped with remote start as standard, using a key fob instead of a key. Pressing the button on the fob will start the vehicle, and it can also be started by pushing a button as long as the key is within range of the car. If the remote start stops working, there are two common reasons. The first is a dead fob battery, an easy and inexpensive fix. The other reason could be that the key fob has been somehow reset and is no longer paired with the car, requiring you to re-link them, which can vary depending on the fob.
In 2018, the Nissan Murano offers remote start, but it's not available on the basic model. However, if you upgrade to the SV or SL trims, you'll get remote start as a standard feature. With Nissan's remote start system, you can start your car from your key fob by pressing the lock button followed by the circular arrow button on top of the fob - just hold it for a few seconds. This will start your car and activate the automatic climate control to adjust the interior temperature.
