The 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid does not come with a traditional spare tire or a donut-sized one. Instead, you'll discover a "tire mobility kit" (TMK) stored beneath the trunk's floorboard. The TMK contains all the necessary tools to fix a flat tire rather than replace it. Typically, this includes a sticky sealant that works with an air compressor or pump connected to a hose. The air compressor is used to reinflate and seal any punctures in the flat tire so the vehicle can be driven to a repair shop. By eliminating the spare tire, Lincoln aims to decrease vehicle weight, maximize cargo space, and enhance fuel efficiency and performance.

It's true that there is no spare tire, but there is a tire repair kit. Yet, the dealer mentioned that a spare tire can be added as an optional feature, so there may be someone who does have a spare tire.
The dashboard light indicates that the tire mobility kit requires maintenance. What does this mean, and can I use a traditional spare tire instead?
Ashley, where did you manage to find the spare tire? I've been looking around with no luck at all.
In 2017, my MKZ Hybrid is equipped with a full-size spare tire. It's a Lincoln – settle for nothing less.
