Is there a spare tire included with the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid model?

  My daughter purchased a brand-new 2021 Hyundai Ioniq a couple of months back. This evening, she encountered a flat tire while in an unfamiliar area. The tire was punctured by a large nail. Since there was no spare tire available, the only option was to request a tow truck. It took two hours for the tow truck to show up. The vehicle is being taken to the nearest dealership in Houston. We will need to go and pick her up. This situation is highly unsatisfactory. I have never come across a car that doesn't come equipped with a spare tire or an alternative solution to avoid being stranded.

  How are emissions even related to getting stuck when the car company didn't anticipate that everyone will experience a flat tire at some point due to their oversight in design?

  My wife had a flat tire while she was in a different state. I assured her that I would find a way to help her change the tire. However, when she called me back to say that there was no spare tire, I was shocked. Seriously, Hyundai, do you have any plans to address this issue? I am definitely reconsidering buying from Hyundai in the future. What's next, no passenger seat? This car company is really disappointing.

  I received my 2020 Ioniq just yesterday, and I'm really happy with it. However, I was a bit shocked that mine didn't come with the tire repair kit.

  Don't trust any nonsense from car dealers or manufacturers regarding the absence of a spare tire or jack. The truth is, it's all about maximizing profits. They have no concern if you end up stuck with a flat tire in a dangerous area!
