This 2011 Lexus LX570 uses a timing chain instead of a belt. A timing chain is built to last for the vehicle's entire lifespan, so under normal circumstances, you shouldn't have to worry about it. However, it can still be damaged or fail. If this occurs, the car will likely overheat almost immediately. Replacing the chain will cost around $100 for the part and another $100 for labor. Be careful when purchasing a chain online, as some sellers might use the term "cam belt" for both timing chains and timing belts. A timing belt won't work, and you could end up with an unusable part.
