The VW Amarok has a timing belt which can lead to various engine issues. Loose gaskets should be promptly tightened, and oil leaks must be fixed immediately. An improperly installed spark plug may result in engine complications. Engine overheating is a serious concern as it can cause car fires and even explosions. Excessive oil consumption signifies the need for a quick oil change. The air filter should be replaced every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, while coolant should be changed every 60,000 miles. For standard spark plugs, replacement is recommended every 100,000 miles, but copper spark plugs should be changed every 30,000 miles.
