If you're looking to purchase a BMW 325i in the United States, you might be curious about its turbocharged engine. The 325i, along with the rest of the 3 series lineup, provides two different turbo engine options. The 330i offers a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the turbocharged M340i features a 3.0-liter inline-6 cylinder engine that produces 385 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque.
The BMW 325i is not equipped with a turbocharger.
I have a 325i, which is not turbocharged. The 335i has twin turbos, and all 325i models with 2.5l and 3.0l engines in the 3 series lineup are also non-turbo. This only applies to the petrol versions, as we won't even get started on the diesel ones! 😄😄
You just got my hopes up for a brief moment...
I have a 2005 BMW 325i with a 2.5 engine, and I am considering adding a turbo for some extra power. I'm concerned that adding a turbo might damage the engine and transmission. I was hoping for a small turbo for a modest power boost, although I would prefer a supercharger. I'm new to BMWs, so any advice on this matter would be helpful.
