The 2008 Subaru Impreza comes equipped with an AUX input conveniently situated in the center console. This feature enables you to connect an audio device by using a cable with a 3.5mm male jack. To hear the audio through the car's speakers, the radio must be switched to AUX mode. You can easily select this mode by pressing the CD/AUX button. To ensure the best sound quality, it is recommended to use high-quality cables; otherwise, poor sound quality may result. When connecting a device, it is advised to lower the volume on both the radio and the device before adjusting it to a comfortable level.

I would say it probably varies depending on the features you selected when you bought your 2008 Impreza. I own a 2008 Impreza as well, and mine doesn't have an AUX PORT in the center console. It only has a lighter/power input without the AUX PORT. The manual mentions it should have one, but mine doesn't. However, the stereo does offer the CD/AUX option, which is interesting.

Nope, there's no aux input jack. However, the stereo offers the CD/AUX feature - go figure that out.

Does the 2008 Impreza Outback Sport 2.5i have a car power socket where you can charge your phone and connect it to the auxiliary input?

Essentially, you can now use the car's navigation system with an auxiliary input. The person purchased an auxiliary cord and adapter that can connect to the navigation head unit. They replaced the CD auxiliary input with the phone auxiliary input. I hope this information is helpful to you.
