I've been dealing with the same issue with my 2018 Ford Escape for the past three months. Unfortunately, the Canadian dealer doesn't have the spare parts, so I'd have to wait another three months to get them. I've also attempted manual access but it's either not available or not functioning. This might be the final straw for me with Ford.

I drive a 2019 Ford Escape and the latch is stuck down. It seems like this is a common issue with Ford vehicles for a while now. When I brought it to the Ford Dealership, they asked for $145 to use a diagnostic machine to identify the problem with this ongoing latch issue that Ford won't address. It seems like Ford is more interested in making money than fixing their recurring problems.

We own a 2020 Ford Escape, and the back door automatically opens when we open the garage door. I brought it to a Ford dealership, but they weren't able to fix it after a day and a half. Now, we have to manually close the back door, which is not something we should have to do.
